Aiming to achieve long term capital appreciation through compound growth, whilst limiting volatility and short-term losses; equity like returns with less risk.
Pursuing innovative systematic, quantitative investment strategies to deliver superior risk adjusted returns in the realm of CTA alternative fund management. Xeqos is located in the city of Oxford, UK by design. Adam studied mathematics at Cambridge University. Whilst there he developed an interest in finance and investment. After obtaining his maths degree, he went on to study economics at the LSE (London School of Economics).
Subsequently, he has worked with and at Delft, a family office for his family, where he was a member of the investment committee. He joined a team analysing possible investments for the family. He looked at all styles of investment from long/short equity through to credit. He was drawn to managed futures but didn’t like the long “lean years” that CTAs often endure after a good run.
Whilst with Delft, Adam successfully ran his own money, trading futures by applying quantitative methods, for the better part of two decades. He developed his own quantitative models, looking for ways to mitigate the downside whilst achieving equity like returns on the upside.
In 2018 he established Xeqos Limited to focus full time on researching managed futures models and in 2022 he launched the Xeqos Fund, which he seeded with his personal capital.
James was Adam’s first hire for the business in October 2018, and he holds the position of Chief Operating Officer. He is a member of the board, and a director of Xeqos Limited.Prior to Xeqos, James was Head of Operations at Beach Horizon LLP.
James has worked in quantitative finance operations since 2005 and, in senior operations management since 2012. He has extensive experience with a range of products, systems and service providers. James relocated to Oxford in 2018 to lead the operational set up of Xeqos.
Zac was also hired by Adam in October 2018, and he holds the position of Senior Quant Analyst. Zac works closely with Adam in generating new ideas for the portfolio and managing the pipeline of research projects.
Zac is another Cambridge alumnus, having graduated in June 2018 with a first-class B.A. (Hons) degree in Mathematics and an MMath with distinction in Part III of the Mathematical Tripos.
Melissa joined Xeqos in June 2024 and is responsible for business strategy, development, and IR. She has multiple years’ experience of devising and implementing business growth strategies and working in partnership with global investors.
